[Event] You’re Invited to Big Bay Boot Camp with Marketing Melodie

May 18, 2012 3

Big Bay Boot CampThe San Diego Bay is a gorgeous attraction that both locals and tourists love. You’ll find waterfront parks stretched across 34 miles with restaurants, shops, art exhibits, hotels, seven waterfront areas and beautiful views of America’s finest city. One of my favorite memories of the San Diego Bay was the recent San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival I attended at the  Embarcadero Marina Park North. There are hundreds of events hosted along the San Diego Bay to showcase its prime locations and this coming weekend. I’m grateful for an opportunity to participate in the Port of San  Diego’s Big Bay Bootcamp on Sunday May 20th, 7am- 12pm where I’ll be leading a yoga class!

For the past year I’ve been working hard running my marketing business but also incorporating my passion for yoga through hosting yoga workshops, teaching classes and learning from more experienced yogis at events like Tadasana Festival. Recently I’ve been working with more and more clients in the yoga industry and I couldn’t be more thrilled about marketing for an industry that I’m so passionate about. With that said, I’m excited to be helping with the marketing efforts of Big Bay Bootcamp. To showcase their prime locations, everyone is invited to this free event that will motivate you in your fitness goals while getting you outdoors in the finest San Diego weather. I’ll personally be leading a yoga class representing La Jolla Yoga Center at 11am in the Embarcadero Marina North location.

Yoga in the Middle East with Marketing Melodie

What better way to begin your Sunday than to exercise on the Waterfront with free fitness classes. You’ll have an opportunity to try Zumba, Pilates, Boot camps, Boxing, Yoga and more. All ages and fitness levels are welcome to attend any of the classes

Here are the parks along the San Diego Bay participating in the Big Bay Boot Camp:

For those who wish to participate in classes here’s the scoop:

  • Bring your own water and snacks
  • Wear appropriate workout clothes and shoes
  • Bring your own workout towel and/or beach towel
  • If you have a mat – bring a mat!
  • Classes filled on a first come, first serve basis
  • All participants must sign a release waiver to receive a wristband and take any class
  •  Participants under the age of 18 must have guardian signed waiver to participate

The event schedule can be viewed here. Check it out to plan out the classes you’ll want to take.

I must say that the Port of San Diego had a brilliant marketing idea to host an event that will drive people to their locations with a valuable health and fitness offering. Their goals for this event are:

  • Promote, through free participation, a variety of fitness opportunities for the general public living around San Diego Bay.
  • Introduce the Port of San Diego’s parks to those who are not familiar with them and showcase the parks as locations for holding fitness activities whether structured or individual activities.
  • Enhance community relationships through peoples’ interactions with the Port, local professional athletes and trainers.
  • Provide a set of fun activities that attract people to San Diego Bay.

Again, I’m so happy to be a part of this event. Come take 1 class or 5! I would love to see you at my yoga class with La Jolla Yoga Center at 11am so please let me know if you’ll be  able to attend! Remember I’ll be at the Embarcadero Marina North location and I’ll be arriving a little early to check out some of the other classes myself.

~NAMASTE~
