Prepare your Mind and Body for Enlightenment at SXSW with @MyMelodie #SXSWYoga
I’m very excited to announce that I’ll be heading to Austin again in less than a week. Last year I had the most amazing time at SXSW. I was hired by AT&T to attend the conference as one of their brand ambassadors. I ran a social media promotion for them to promote their new Galaxy Note and made many people happy by giving them away. I loved everything about the conference from getting to play with the newest tech gadgets, to enhancing my own knowledge about marketing and technology at the many sessions and workshops and best of all I met so many amazing people who share a passion for all things interactive. I left motivated, inspired and even more excited about technology.
This year I received my official speaker agreement on Friday and have been waiting until then to make any announcements. I am so honored and grateful for this opportunity. Any tech nerd knows this is huge!
As you all know I’ve been doing a lot this year to manifest wealth and abundance through my passions, marketing and yoga and SXSW is just an expansion of this. I’m hosting a wellness meetup, teaching a yoga session and teaching meditation session. Yes that’s right, I’m teaching yoga and meditation to my amazing tech-crazed, social media savvy, SXSW people who understand having a smart phone glued to your hand, a check in before actually arriving somewhere and a tweet to tell the world we’re at SXSW. I’m going to provide you with 1 hour (or 2 if you come to both my sessions) of peace and quiet in the midst of all the SXSW madness so I would be honored if you joined me. I’m a busy entrepreneur and business owner who works full time running a marketing company that specializes in Marketing and Social Media. I’m also a college Professor in Marketing, a Professional Speaker and I teach 5-7 yoga classes a week. It’s no doubt that I’m busy which is why yoga and meditation have done wonders in helping me manage my stress and create balance in my life. They are such amazing resources in my busy life and now I have the chance to share my tools with others who lead a similar lifestyle as me in the busy tech world.

Wellness Meetup- Friday March 8th, 5-6pm , Austin Convention Center Room 8A: Enjoy some time with other mindful health practitioners, and get the details on what other wellness panels, presentations, and resources are available during SXSW. Come As You Are Yoga- Saturday March 9th, 9:30-10:30am-, Austin Convention Center Room 8A: Yoga was developed thousands of years ago as a way to prepare the mind and body for enlightenment. What better way to prepare yourself for all the new ideas, insights, and people you will encounter at SXSW? This is an all-levels class with special attention to alignment and helping beginners get a good start in the practice. We’ll emphasize techniques that are easy to replicate at home and at work. Yep if a guy dressed in a robot can do yoga, you can certainly do it in your conference attire. )
